Small series or one-of-a-kind pieces, I offer these always original pendants, designed and made entirely in the workshop. You’ll find classics whose proportions I’ve reworked, like “L’unique!”, or whose design I’ve reimagined, like the “Origines” pendant, an oval on a braided cord that’s become a must-have in jewelry. This range is enriched with a set of symbols redesigned and brought to life through clean lines, textures, openwork, or the beauty of precious stones. Finally, you’ll discover original creations and one-of-a-kind pieces as the workshop’s innovations unfold.

How to choose your chain length?

At the CARACTÈRES gallery, we do a lot of fittings and it’s very enlightening! Here is what I’ve concluded:

Depending on your height, you’ll generally want a 40cm chain if you’re up to 1m70, and 45cm if you’re taller. If you have broad shoulders or a strong neck, I also recommend this length regardless of your height. These chain lengths adapt well to everyday necklines.

Depending on the style and vibe of the piece: some with a dynamic look like “L’unique” or “L’étoile” need to be worn high, while others look better and have more presence when worn longer on the bust, just above or below the chest. This is the case for the ELLES or Rosée pendants.

The piercing technique

It consists of creating openwork in the metal plate using a jeweler’s saw called a Bocfil. Several steps are involved: first, creating and drawing the pattern while paying attention to the balance of positive and negative space. This drawing is transferred to the metal, and holes are drilled in all the areas to be hollowed out. Then comes the cutting with the Bocfil by inserting the saw blade into each hole.

I love this technique; it’s meditative and particularly rich in creative possibilities. I work with piercing using a straight clean cut, as seen in the “L’arbre de vie aux oiseaux” symbol. I also love achieving more finesse and reflections through a second angled cut, as you’ll notice on “L’étoile”.
